Appliance repair in McLean

Eight in ten McLean homes are detached houses, most of them owner-occupied, and seven in ten are heated with natural gas.

Half the homes here were built before 1977

Many still have their original dryer vent runs and water shutoff valves, even after a few rounds of new appliances. On a dryer call we check the vent path to the outside, and on a washer we look at the fill hoses before we leave.

Your water

Fairfax Water describes its water as moderately hard to hard, 5 to 10 grains per gallon (84 to 170 mg/L). Mineral scale builds up in dishwashers and washers over time. Rinse aid and a monthly cleaning cycle help, and we check the inlet screens and filters on every visit.

Gas homes

With gas service in most houses, gas dryers and gas ranges are common here. We repair the appliance itself: igniters, valves, sensors and controls. New gas line work is a job for a licensed gas fitter.
